Florida State Love-A-fair
Recently I went to the Florida State Fair and met Trist & K (couple pictured) for an evening of fun and photos. They were open to using the rides and fun colors around them to make beautiful photos out of an evening together. And that just had me thinking that having a photoshoot together with couples should and kinda always does have the feel of a date, a double date really. It’s always a good time and the couples have many chances to share romantic moments together.
At a photoshoot that I did recently I met a new client who turned into a new friend! (that tends to happen hah). Her name is Ash! She offered to come along and get some BTS for me for future photoshoots the last time I saw her.
So I called Ash up to come along for some fair fun and she was all about it! We had so much fun capturing this couple through different perspectives and it made it more of a double date situation instead of me just being the third wheel haha so you know I appreciate that. I’m Mentioning Ash because she is a great aspiring content manager and I think she would be a great addition to anyones team, hit her up! ( @Ashwinirrao on the gram)
Anyways, when we got to the fair we realize we came on the right day accidentally, the 3$ admission day. Score right of the bat.
I had given triist some pretty loose style direction. All I said was “Something Retro” hah and they just simply nailed it.
The first stop was the Ferris wheel and the pond. A good place for a little moonlight boogie. Next was some fair games and fair flirting, haha.
I thought this lemonade cup was cute so I went to buy it and the cup was 16 DOLL HAIRS hah but it was for a photo which is for my business which means its tax a right off. So girl math: that was a free lemonade!!! ( IM KIDDING. )
Totally worth it though just for this haha
There were so many carousels and Ferris wheels it was hard to choose which ones to use for photos but we walked the whole fair grounds and this creamy white retro looking carousel kept catching my eye.
Triist and K picked their animals to ride side by side and I was roaming the moving carousel around them to find the best angle. And while the animals they were riding were moving up and down at opposite times I told them to try and catch a kiss from each other as they passed. It was so funny to watch and they couldn’t stop giggling. ( Reel located on my instagram page)
Next we headed for a funhouse I had just enough tickets to get us three in. I saw the see through walls of the funhouse maze reflecting all the fair lights and I knew I had to use it some how.
I made a reel about this on my instagram page showing how our experience went, haha. I told the ticket man that I waste going to be going through the entire funhouse, I just needed to jump in get some shots and then we’ll be done. ( I had all my gear in my backpack)
Well none of that registered with mr ticket man and he just kept sending swarms of children everytime we would go in for the photo, we were cracking up. Then it all worked out and we had our time to shine and we finally got to have some fun in the funhouse.
