Marcel Castellano NYFW SS 26
Presented in an intimate Brooklyn venue, Marcel Castellano’s Spring/Summer 2026 collection was nothing short of breathtaking. The space itself was thoughtfully curated — every design element complemented by impeccable lighting and elevated production. From start to finish, this show was a masterclass in detail and vision.
Castellano’s dynamic collection fused vintage theatrical elements with a strikingly modern edge — a true marriage of eras. Among all the shows this NYFW season, this one stood out to me the most.
Why?
Attention to detail.
Every piece felt flawless, timeless, yet refreshingly new. From the garments to the styling and overall atmosphere, not a single element was overlooked.
Think statement colors, luxurious leather, daring fringe, artful draping, delicate ruffles — gowns, suits, shorts, skirts, shirts —
all flawlessly executed.
Every look?
Stunning.
Accessories were equally unforgettable. Headpieces and knee-high boots are officially back — and in the most exciting way.
It was also this very show where I saw a pair of black fishnet, knee-high, pointy-toed boots with a Mary Jane strap and buckle — and I haven’t stopped thinking about them since. It’s now a personal mission to find a pair. They haunt my dreams.
This standout look was a favorite of mine it featured a great gatsby-esque, fashion-forward black tulle gown layered over a sand-colored underlay.
The dress flared out mermaid-style at the hem, while the top was a form-fitting, long-sleeved bodice with perfectly structured folds of tulle sewn in asymmetrical, delicate lines across the torso.
Every stitch, intentional.
Another unforgettable moment: a nod to 60s/70s style with a wide, chunky brown belt paired with a corset, a cascading skirt, and a structured long-sleeved shirt adorned with a geometric print that echoed the belt’s design.
The model entered the runway bow-first — no arrow — scanning the crowd as if searching for anyone with poor fashion taste. Luckily, we all made it out unscathed. But no one will forget the day Marcel Castellano raised the bar for runway storytelling.
The look was topped off with a triangular-brimmed hat.
Beyond the garments, Castellano himself radiated warmth and creative energy. You could feel how much joy and pride every person involved took when the show was executed beautifully.
Each design was unique, diverse, and undeniably red-carpet ready. It's safe to say this collection didn’t just participate in fashion week — it made fashion history.
